It all belongs to God

We are made in the image of God; He has given us great value beyond the beauty of the rest of His creation. “Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26). Part of being made in God’s image is that we are designed to rule even as God rules over His creation.

God made your hands.

Whatever we do with our hands, our head and our heart, we are doing with God's property. Everything we have is on loan to us by God. Our bodies, our thoughts and our life are God’s resources that He has given us to use for a time. God owns everything, so whatever we do, we are doing it with God’s property. We have to choose how we will use God’s stuff.

“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body [g]and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

1 Corinthians 6:19

Whatever you have is because God gave it to you.

Sometimes we may think that what we have seems comes from our faithfulness in using what God has given us, but we must not forget that everything comes from God. We can be good stewards, but we cannot create things out of nothing. We can only manage what has already been created and given to us. God wants us to be creative and to produce a unique life, but we must remember that God created everything and it all belongs to Him.
