Learning
I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 1 John 2:21-27
You cannot learn something for someone else.
Everyone is a vessel; everyone is filled with different things—habits, attitudes, learning, the Holy Spirit, etc. What you are filled with becomes your character. A person’s character is unique to that person, and a change to any one person’s character does not change another person’s character. A vessel cannot be filled by filling another vessel. Even if one vessel is filled to overflowing, the vessel next to it will not be filled unless the lid is removed and something is intentionally poured directly into it. You are a vessel, waiting to be filled with knowledge, both corporeal and spiritual, but you must decide you want to be filled. You can influence others, but you cannot cause another vessel to be filled. You can only determine whether or not you are filled. Abide in Him and He will fill you to overflowing as His anointing teaches you to be holy as He is holy.
Everything everyone knows they have already learned.
People aren’t born knowing how to do things. Different people learn different things easier than others but everyone has the capacity to learn something, and no one knows a subject without learning it. Knowing the truth only comes through the process of learning the truth. A lie has no part in the truth, and the biggest lie is that Jesus is not the Christ as the scriptures say He is. If you don’t know the truth about the Son, you don’t know the truth about the Father. If you want to know the truth, you have to open yourself up to be filled by the truth and as the truth abides in you, you will abide in Him.
Anyone can cast a tall shadow if they get the sun at the right angle.
Just as you can’t learn anything for someone else, you can’t cast a shadow for someone else. Your shadow isn’t about how big you are or what you know, it’s about where you are standing in relation to the light. The closer you are to the light, the bigger your shadow will be. You cannot create your shadow on your own; your shadow is created naturally when you are in relationship with the light. You cannot create the truth, you can only show a shadow of the truth. As you let the light of the truth wrap itself around your shadow, you become filled with the light as He abides in you and you abide in Him. “For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. … For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.” (1 Corinthians 13:9-12 ESV). You cannot wrap someone else in the light, you can only allow yourself to be wrapped up in the light so that He envelops you until there is no darkness in you just as there is no darkness in Him.
