Empowered to Persevere 2
We all have experienced situations in our life that we can’t possibly make it through on our own. It is in those situations the most that we find out how much we need God and how much His strength carries us through the day to day issues of life. God is always true to His word to never leave us or forsake us. He will help us persevere through whatever comes our way.
In the midst of the trials of life, we can always turn to God to find the strength to persevere. We don’t have to rely on our strength alone; God has promised to never leave us as we face life’s challenges. He will never give us more than we can handle. With God’s presence in our lives, we have everything we need to persevere as long as we don’t lose your focus on Him.
Don’t let the hard times of life distract you from finding your strength in the giver of life.
Hard times can make us try harder and harder until we spend so much energy on trying harder that we lose sight of God. We can become our own worst enemy as we condemn ourselves to working harder without the strength to actually get what we need done. Hard times often define us in deep meaningful ways. During hard times, we will either pull away from everything else and try harder on our own or reach out to God and the people He places in our lives. We either become more self-focused or we look for answers outside of ourselves. And how we react during hard times shapes who we become during good times.
We are like tea bags, hot water will bring out our flavor
Our problem with hard times is our perspective. In hard times we often see the obstacles instead of the opportunities. We lose sight of the long term promises God has given us as we focus too much energy on the short term trials. However, everything in life should draw us towards God. He becomes a very present help in trouble when we remember to keep Him as our focus. Our focus forms our future. If our focus is on what's good, we will find it even when life gets difficult. If our focus is on what's bad, we will find it even when life is pleasant.
