The Power of Faith

Our faith makes us well. One of the phrases Jesus often repeated is, “Your faith has made you well.” Having a healthy faith system leads to having a healthy physical system. We are connected beings. Our spiritual, emotional, and physical health are all connected to each other. A health in one area of our lives will most likely produce health in other parts of our lives. Healthy things grow - even an adult body grows new cells to regenerate itself. Healthy things also heal and repair quicker than an unhealthy counterpart.

Growing and healing are connected.

When we are young and growing, we heal quickly, once we are done growing physically, we heal slowly. When we are growing spiritually, we will heal spiritually and emotionally quickly. The more we focus on growth, the healthier we will become. We will heal more quickly from the emotional stresses of life. Everyone wants to be healthy, but not everyone is willing to put up with the growing pains that will lead to health. We must be be willing to endure the process of growth if we want to become healthy

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you don’t keep moving forward.

Growth and health are not instantaneous, nor are they a destination we can reach. There is no magic pill that makes us healthy, and there is no magic formula that will produce the right kind of growth. Growth and health are a continual process of life. It is the continual act of intentionality that leads to growth and health. It is a lifestyle that leads to a life that moves in the right direction. No matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, we have the option to make choices of growth and health.
