Leading Life
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6
Life happens all at once.
You can't pause parenting to work on your marriage. You can't pause serving God to work on loving your neighbors. You cant pause a physical battle or ailment to deal with spiritual warfare. As physical and spiritual beings, you may be tempted to ignore the spiritual realm for a time in order to focus on the physical or feel that physical troubles are simply a distraction from the spiritual side of life. In reality, the physical realm is united with the spiritual realm in your experience of the world. When you lead in a spiritual direction, you often will find a physical result, and when you lead through a physical decision, you will often see a spiritual result. Because life all happens at once, you will find that when you create wellness in one area of your life, you will find that the other areas of your life respond in like manner.
If you don't lead now, you will have to lead in reaction.
When you don’t lead in one area of your life, you will experience a fall out in other areas of your life. “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10). When you stumble in one point of life, you will fall in other areas as well. So whether you are failing or succeeding in many areas of life, find the areas you are most successful in and lead strongly in those areas. Captivate every wayward thought by finding your focus and leading well in the areas where you are proficient. Let the wellness and leadership you find in one area of your life flow into the other areas of your life so that your wellness happens all at once.
Is this something to pray about or something to obey.
The life you engage in is a battle, not only against the rulers of darkness in this present age but also against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Sometimes the battle rests on prayer, other times, obedience to what you already know is crucial to winning against the strongholds in both the physical and spiritual warfare. Wellness in life comes from taking the right steps of prayer and obedience as you live your life all at once. If you don't obey when you're supposed to, you will often find yourself having to lead in response. If you act without praying, you will also find yourself having to live in reaction. Develop discernment and learn to walk through life with God so He can show you when you need to wait and pray and when you need to obey right away.
