God Changes you

Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into. Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

1 Peter 1:10-21

Heaven won't change you. Only God can change you.

The salvation that the prophets prophesied about and looked forward to was the coming days of the Messiah. While Heaven and the “afterlife” are essential elements of Old Testament Judaism, the central focus of the hope in the Old Testament is on the promised Messiah who would fully atone for God’s people. The hope of the prophets was on God’s grace not God’s place. A residency in Heaven is not given to those who hope in Heaven but to those who hope in Christ. Focus your hope on Jesus, seek Him first and Heaven will be added to you. Rest your hope fully on God’s grace brought to you by the work of Jesus—the only spotless lamb. Do not seek to be redeemed by the gold and silver of Heaven; draw close to God so He can redeem and change you.

Satan cannot condemn you.

Your conduct is not compared against Satan’s conduct. Your conduct is to be holy and compared to God’s conduct since you are called to be holy as He is. Only God can condemn you and only God can save you because He alone is holy. Only God deserves glory, and only God is able to condemn or redeem. All of Heaven is God’s throne and all of creation is His footstool (Isaiah 66:1), your function and purpose is to bring glory to God. Salvation is God freeing you to do what you were created to do. Condemnation is God confirming one’s decision to not do what humans were created to do and Him bringing for a hard heart in an individual who chooses to have one.

Your unholiness doesn't matter. Your holiness doesn't matter. Jesus' holiness matters.

The only one who is worthy of heaven is God. While the angels and mortals desire to look into heaven they are not worthy to even gaze upon the glory of God—let alone the glory of heaven.

Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” Revelation 5:2-5

God alone is holy, and He alone deserves your praise and attention.God’s grace alone saves you and through the sufferings of Christ, God brought the glories that were to follow. Seek God more than Heaven, for it is He who will raise you up on the last day.
